Scope of the Role
- Social media management across platforms
- Event promotion and graphic creation
- Live event coverage (photos and short videos)
- Community management (comments and DMs)
- Campaign content creation
- Basic performance reporting
Overview
Support Country to Canberra’s mission by securing the funding and partnerships that power our programs; researching opportunities, building relationships with sponsors, and writing grant applications that turn resources into real impact for rural and regional young people.
Scope of the Role
- Research and identify sponsorship and grant opportunities
- Draft and submit grant applications and funding proposals
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors and partners
- Prepare sponsorship packages and pitch materials
- Track application deadlines and reporting requirements
- Basic acquittal and impact reporting for funders

Current Vacancies, Board Directors
Overview
Country to Canberra is seeking three (3) new Non-Executive Directors to join as part of a planned Board succession and leadership transition. Working collaboratively with fellow Directors and the CEO, you will contribute to the strategic direction, governance, sustainability and impact of the organisation to strengthen Board capability and support succession and knowledge transfer in key roles.
We are seeking interested Directors for the following positions:
- Company Secretary: Governance and company secretarial capability, including NFP/charity governance, Board processes, compliance and governance records.
- Treasurer: Strong financial capability, including financial governance, reporting, budgeting, risk, controls and long-term financial sustainability.
- General Non-Executive Director: Skills and experience that complement the existing
Board and support C2Cs future strategy.
- Fundraising and partnerships
- Social Impact measurement
- People and volunteer capability
- Youth engagement
- Advocacy and communications
- Digital innovation, technology and data governance
- Strategic leadership and organisational development
Board experience is not essential
Scope of the Role
- Provide strategic oversight and contribute to C2Cs future direction.
- Monitor organisational performance, risk and financial sustainability.
- Meet the responsibilities of an NFP Director and ACNC Responsible Person.
- Participate in Board meetings (minimum of 6 a year), committees and strategic activities.
- Bring your skills, experience and perspective to collective Board decisions.
Appointment
These are voluntary Non-Executive Director positions. Successful candidates will undertake induction and transition activities, with appointments effective from C2Cs Annual General Meeting on 2 November 2026.
Appointment requirements
- Confirm eligibility to act as a Director and ACNC Responsible Person and provide consent to act.
- Disclose relevant interests and actual, potential or perceived conflicts.
- Complete required referee, probity and safeguarding checks.
- Agree to comply with C2Cs governance policies and Code of Conduct.
